I layered up for the short ski trip back to my tent

I was not going to wait until morning

except for the lapping waves of course

so I turned my attention to exploring the island when the clouds decided not to share the sun with me

Though these same water conditions have caused many problems

developed a painting that will certainly bring back memories for years to come

the Stefansson Medal

and the benefit was that the Chikinashing Creek in Killarney Provincial Park was wide open and flowing

and it seemed so appropriate to have it be part of this landscape

Pitching camp in these lofty surroundings allowed me to explore further and begin this painting before descending one kilometre downhill to continue the journey
