His mothers' names are Robin and Yael, and they're represented here by the robin in flight and the running kid goat (Yael means "goat" in Hebrew). He's represented by the aquamarine at the center of the star, and is being carried forward (Hebrew is a right to left language) by his parents

The frosted Czech glass beads nestled between the alternating blue and green turquoise of this necklace remind me simultaneously of the white-capped waves on the azure seas surrounding Hawai‘i and the light-flecked reefs of variegated corals just beneath the surface
