The Purple Heart wood and silver pearlescent resin are a match made in heaven

at 32mm thick and 360mm wide x 320mm high you know you have a solid piece of wood

with its Purple heart wood wavy curves exploding out from the centre and contrasting white clock hands and white hour markers

all the natural splits and cracks have been filled with silver pearlescent resin

This Sweet Chestnut Wall Clock has been made using wood gathered from a fallen tree from my local forest

it has 3 draws with black walnut handles and strips above and below

It is finished with spray on polyurethane

the leaves are very similar to our English Beech tree

after slicing it up with my chain saw it was stacked then left to air dry for 5 years
