Golden Raspberry SeedsGolden raspberries are a real treat although relatively rare. The mother plant these seeds came from produce some of my favorite tasting raspberries. We are not certain which variety of golden raspberry the mother plant is. There are several varieties of golden raspberries out there in circulation. This mother plant produces delicious golden berries all summer long. When growing from seed each plant will be unique. I have not grown these from seed yet

All of our seed handling practices aim to mimic this process as best we can

At this point we stop shipping bare root trees as they become more sensitive to that sort of travel

The stems are reddish-brown to purplish

The seed for these trees came from a European Hazelnut variety "Yamhill" which is described as having incredibly high resistance to eastern filbert blight

The American persimmon is a rather hardy tree adapted to a wide range of environmental conditions

Additionally pecans will typically require another genetically distinct tree for good pollination

They are a more northern adapted species doing best in USDA zones 5 and 6 with some known to grow in zone 4

while others like willow and pin oak typically don’t last more than 100 or so years

It is best to store them in the fridge or in the ground until planting/eating

Their bright pinkish purple blooms are hard to miss
