Description

200cm "Ble-Fjell" Late 1960s Wood Cross-Country Touring Skis - Great Condition! - from NORWAY!!!The Blefjell mountains are a small mountain range a bit over an hour west of Oslo. The Kongsberg ski factory, which was based in nearby Kongsberg, built skis in the 60s under the Blefjell brand. This is a gorgeous example. Never imported to the United States! Features include nearly unblemished tip logos (one is blistering, see pic), a smooth brown finish that is still in great shape, classic Tempo rear clasp bindings, and refinished bases sealed with

Weight (pair): 4052gm w/ bindings

with new soles and brand new laces

The rest of the boots have been expertly cleaned

Weight (pair): 3433gm w/ partial bindings

Let's dive right in - Norway's Hallgeir Brenden was one of world's best cross-country skiers in the 1950s

And for that you need hockey skates

825gms each - this is rare to find with wood skis

but unlike most things it is actually older than I am so I give it a pass

which isn't necessarily bad

with parts retaining the original sheen

BUT this contraption was on sort of a swivel

Some of the greatest minds in Norway have weighed in on what "Mønsterbeskyttet" means
