Darwin glass x8750 thousand years ago a large meteorite hit the west coast of Tasmania . When it hit the earth, it vaporised mixing with the molten ground it hit forming a green to black glass. This impact glass is known as Darwin Glass in Tasmania as the crater is near Mt Darwin.
