The box is handcrafted out of Japanese Hinoki wood

most likely made by Master Shigeoshi Iwasaki or Mizuochi San in the 1960s the Japanese Showa period

it will not change or decay even in humid environments

The Logo is a mixture of 山 (yama)and 正 (masa)

We have added a Rattan handle wrapping and lacquered it with several layers of Urushi

The blade handles was in very good shape so we kept the original Rattan Handle Wrapping
