Victorian Fairy Tile | Moth from A Midsummer Night’s Dream | Wedgwood
Description
Victorian Fairy Tile | Moth from A Midsummer Night’s Dream | WedgwoodIn the 19th century, Wedgwood manufactured an exquisite series of decorative tiles based on Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream. They are rarer than rare but usually always in plain brown or blue. This is the first time Ive seen colored tiles from this series. This particular tile depicts Moth, one of many fairies in the play. Refer to photos for size and condition: Very good.
