Tourmaline with Albite (doubly terminated)
Description
Tourmaline with Albite (doubly terminated)A wonderful, doubly terminated, polychrome Tourmaline crystal with Albite from the most famous Tourmaline locality in Pakistan. I have seen many Tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic that many of them lacked was decent color. The crystal on this specimen features several colors ranging from a light pink shade at the end of the pyramidal termination, which gives way to a very dark green (nearly black) zone, which
amber and olive-oil colored hues that can be seen when the piece is rotated in the light as Epidote is strongly pleochroic
Any collector who loves unusual and colorful gem crystals should consider this unique miniature specimen
but not often are the crystals as large
This is a great rarity to find prismatic Morganite from any locality
Specimen# CO712B159
and there are few localities in the world that have ever produced Magnetite like this
Fluorite is one of my favorites as well
The piece displays nicely
and worthwhile for the size and price
and certainly out of the ordinary for Copper in general
well-formed cyclic twinned crystal group sits atop tan compressed rhomobohedra of Siderite to create a beautiful “black and tan” association piece
